You know that sort of weekend were you have such a long list to do and you only get 3 things partly done..well that was my weekend, It was nearly a waste. The only thing that makes it worth while was catching up with friends for brunch and having dinner out with the family. The place we went to dinner is called The Notting hill Pub, its been around for 70 years and family owned. I have been there a couple of times. It is quiet modern looking, Massive projectors lots of speakers. It looks old from the outside.
For dinner you have a salad bar to start with, I had potato salad and it wasn't to salty, or too much mayonnaise.
For mains I had the Roast chicken with potato's, the potatoes exploded when you ate them. Crunchy on the outside but soft in the center.
The chicken was cooked perfectly, it melted in your mouth and was sweet yet smokey.
My brother had the Burger with the "works" so it pretty much had everything.
Kim had the Shepherds pie, it was perfectly cooked. Crunchy top and the flavours were well balanced. It was all well priced and definitely well worth it. A great way to end the weekend
We will be back
Kind e-gards ;)

Good meals are one of life's nicest pleasures. This restaurant sounds good. I'll have to try it some day. :-)
