 I am sick and tired hearing Australia needs guns... SERIOUSLY what is wrong with society that you need guns.

Gun Violence and terrorist shooting chart  Over 9000 shootings this year already in U.S.A.

We are not perfect though we have shootings and mugging. Strange thing i cannot find any information so i emailed the Australian Institute of Criminology and they have no publications after 2012? The only information they gave me was this website Firearms Australia which is from 2007? Conspiracy of some sort i think. Hopefully i can find some more information. Today the Police Annual report  came out today and that suggested that they had 167 Homicides between 2013 and 2014 ( Page 36), But does not specify how the had been killed.

What do you think of the gun situation about U.S.A or Australia?

Shooting Range

We bought a friend a voucher for a shooting range near us for Christmas last year and because she is only free on Sundays it has taken us this long to organise a get together. The shooting range is about 10 minutes from us and has been around for 50 years. Raymond was our trainer / make sure we don't do anything stupid supervisor to which we all survived so he did a good job. He is a funny guy and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. 

When you walk in they have rifles and then they have a separate room for hand guns so that was where we headed.  The distance for the targets was set to 25 meters. normally they start off at 10 meters and then go 25 meters. 

Raymond instructing what do and what not to do, I had to ask him about shooting the gun sidewards and said it was called "Gangsta style" and he mentioned "modified gangsta style" 

When the red light was on it meant you could shoot and they had another on the outside to warn people to be careful.

The first gun we got to shoot was a 9mm Luger  which was a smaller gun and was good to get a bit of a feel with it. We had 25 shots with each gun.

The second gun was the 38 Special - S&W 686 Revolver which had a bigger kick to it but was a lot heavier so after a while your hands get tired.

I could not see the target very well so they had a telescope to see how you shot.

The third gun was the .22lr - Beretta 87 Target Semiauto Pistol  ( the one on the right ),

After we collected our targets he said we could each have a shot with the big gun so we all got super excited.

I think the gun was a .357 Magnum and it packed a punch, that adrenaline rush you get for a split second that makes you feel alive and excited. 

It was fun to do something different and i will do it again in the future.

I have not done a blog in a while and its me just being lazy. Also not much interesting stuff has happened until last night. We left our house at 5:45pm to go down to the shops for a walk. Being winter it is cold so we drove down and we left our driveway we could see someone lying down on the opposite side of the road with a few people around him. We thought he had been hit by a car because people now days just don't pay attention. Too busy listening to their ipods

or phones, we got to the shops and heard the police and ambulances driving past. There was no way we could get home so we went and had cheap food for dinner.

I wanted Congee (recipe)  for a while so finally had it for dinner, congee is a thick  rice porridge that is cooked over an hour normally and you have different meats with it and a doughnut. I had chicken.

After dinner we went a different road home and most of our street had been blocked with news reporters and plenty of police. We spoke to the news crew and found out the guy lying on the road had been shot and then taken to hospital in a critical condition. We went to bed at 11pm and they where still there taking photos. Sadly the person passed away after being shot. News report

I left for work this morning and there was even more reporters, we had an interesting night at our house.
