Third Space Cafetorium

 Third Space Cafetorium

We haven't been to a cafe in months and I thought since I have done a couple of posts I might as well give this a go again. Since Zomato stopped I really hadn't thought about what and how I will do my blogs. I enjoyed taking photos and blogging so will see how this all goes again. We went to a dessert Cafe for some coffee and something to eat. It's a cute little Cafe that uses coffee from The Bean Cartel in Nottinghill. The coffee bags and cups are bright and vibrant.

We ordered some coffee, Pumpkin and Feta Arancini balls, and Pumpkin spice cheesecake. We received a San Sabastian cheesecake which was a tangy cheesecake with a caramelized burnt top but it was delicious anyway. The cake was sweet and a bit chewy, and the chocolate sauce was warm and went so well with the cheesecake. The arancini balls were hot and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The coffees are sweet and tasty with no bitterness.

They had a great selection of cakes that are made on the premises.

Let me know if you have been here.

Aldi Ambiano Air Fryer 15L Recipes - Toast with eggs and bacon

Toast with eggs and bacon.

Good Evening Everyone,

We have been considering an Air fryer for a few months and have been looking around but it was a hard choice. Do you get one with a single basket, dual basket, or oven style? Prices range from $90 - $500 which doesn't help. We went to Aldi and saw they had one for $199 and it had a inbuilt steamer as well so that was interesting. We have yet to see many reviews or recipes on this unit so we thought we would try some and I would post my results.

I thought I would start with something basic like toast with eggs and bacon.

Step 1. Turn the Air Fryer to 160 Degrees and I set the timer to 30 minutes, get a flat tray and put some baking paper at the bottom

Step 2. Get some bread and use a mug to flatten a circle in the middle of the bread. Make sure it is flattened as much as possible.

Step 3. Crack an egg in circle so the yolk is in the middle and doesn't move around

Step 4. Put some bacon strips around the outside of the egg and put a bit of salt and pepper for flavour on the egg.

Step 5. Make sure the Air Fryer is at 160 degrees and stick the tray in the over and set a timer for 7 minutes.

Step 8. Flip the bacon over for another 4 minutes.

The toast was crunchy, the bacon was crispy and the egg was a little bit runny. Our daughter loved it so will definitely give it another go

We would say for our first attempt that was a success. Do you have an Air Fryer and what is your go to meal ?

Thanks for reading.

Kind Regards
Dale

I'm a SCADMAN

 Good Morning everyone,

It has been a few years since I posted anything, and life goes so fast. For all of us, Covid really took a toll on traveling, eating out, and just enjoying life but being locked in your house for nearly a year was not great. Since covid a lot of Cafes and Restaurants that we enjoyed going to closed down permanently which was sad to see. We finally got covid in April and a few weeks after that I started getting a burning sensation in my chest which came and went regularly. I went to the Doctors and they thought it was asthma related but it wasn't as it turned out. I took up running last year and about a month ago i was on a run and my whole chest felt like it was on fire and my heart exploded so i went back to work and finished the day. I went to the Doctor after work and they sent me to hospital. I asked the junior doctor to check my blood as she was convinced it was gastro. They got my results and sent me straight to the new Heart Hospital at around 1am the following day. I had my blood checked every 2 hours to see the troponin levels  (normally between 0.04 and below 5). My levels got to over 8000 which suggested I could still be having a heart attack. Later on that day they wanted to do an Angiogram ( sticking a tube up my vein in my arm into my heart to check what damage was done). While they were in my heart they could see all the damage that had happened the the aorta and I had no cholesterol there. The cardiologist could see a long tear in the aorta and advised i needed a stent to try and patch up the tear which is called Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) . I was watching the whole operation on the screen next to me which was interesting. I was in hospital for a week and was released. They day i was released i had more chest pains so i was sent back to hospital and spend another 3 days in hospital. Since then i have been in and out of hospital and trying to get used to all the medications. So far we are all coping with the life changes and i should be going back to work in a week.

Here is an image of what SCAD is.
