4 Year Anniversary
It feels amazing knowing that i have been with Kim from 2004 and since then we have achieved a lot of great things together and explored so many parts of the world. I cant believe that we have been married for 4 years already. I tried finding wedding pics but i don't them on my computer but that will be for another time. Kim and i are terrible at celebrating our anniversary. We completely forgot last year so this year i decided to organise a romantic date. I organised the In-laws to babysit for a few hours (which they are all happy to do). We went to a local restaurant called Sette Bello, which as you have probably guessed it an Italian place. Its a small cafe during the day as it is situated in a industrial park and at night it turns into a magical restaurant.
It was absolutely packed and because i booked the morning before online they squished us down the isle between the counter and sliding door. It meant it was harder to see us so to order i had to raise my hand until someone saw us. I hate doing that as we are not in Kinda / school but i have high expectations for restaurants like that. We finally managed to get some service. We ordered the Poppy Seed crusted Yellow Fin Tuna with a citrus dressing for entree which was amazing, it was so juicy and fresh and melted in your mouth. It had a beautiful colour. For mains we ordered the Squidink taglierini with lobster and prawn. The pasta was beautiful. It has a strong flavour but the lobster and prawns add some more texture to it. The lobster was so yummy as it was not overcooked or dry
For the other dish we ordered the Roasted crispy skin pork belly with apple and watercress reduction. I loved the reduction, I have had pork belly at many places but this was so overcooked and tough i was so disappointed with it. but it looked amazing.
For Dessert we had a croissant with Nuttella and it was so light and fluffy, the melted nutella added a beautiful hazelnut flavour.
It was a great evening and look forward to another amazing year of marriage.
